Is this you?

If the map pack is where your customers look, this is where you are losing them.

  • 01

Your Google Business Profile exists, but it was set up once and nobody has touched it since.

  • 02

Competitors with worse reviews than yours sit above you in the map for your own town.

  • 03

You have one "areas we serve" page listing twelve suburbs, and none of them rank.

  • 04

Reviews arrive when they arrive. Nobody asks, nobody replies, and the last one is from March.

  • 05

You get calls from the wrong area, or from people who wanted a different service, because the profile says the wrong things.

Local SEO is the one part of search where a small business can beat a national brand within months, because Google ranks the map on relevance, distance and reputation, not on domain size. Most businesses lose it on basics.

How I do this differently

The profile first, the reviews second, the website third.

Order matters, and most local SEO services get it backwards. They start with citations and a blog because those are billable. I start with your primary category, your services, your photos and your review flow, because that is what moves the map, and it moves within weeks.

Reviews are a system, not a request. I set up the ask, the timing, the link and the reply routine with your front desk or your van, so reviews arrive every week and describe the job and the area. That is what Google reads.

One page per location, one page per service, no shortcuts. Each written for the branch it represents, with its own photos, team and reviews. Copying a page and changing the town name is how you get filtered, not found.

What I will not do
  • Stuff keywords into your business name. It gets profiles suspended.
  • Buy, incentivise or gate reviews.
  • Submit you to a hundred directories. Ten right ones, then stop.
  • Create a listing for an address where you do not meet customers.
  • Generate a page per suburb from a template.
What you actually get

What local SEO services actually include, by month.

Month 1

  • Google Business Profile rebuilt field by field: category, services with prices, description, hours, attributes, photos, Q&A.
  • Review system live: the ask, the link, the timing, the reply routine, with your team trained in one call.
  • Name, address and phone made identical everywhere they appear, starting with the ten listings that matter in your country.
  • Call tracking and profile performance reporting set up.

Months 2 to 3

  • A real page for each location and each core service on your website, with LocalBusiness structured data.
  • Weekly profile activity: posts, photos, offers, answered questions.
  • Apple Maps and Bing Places claimed and matched.
  • Grid rank tracking across your service area so you see the map the way customers do.

Month 4 onward

  • Local links and mentions: sponsorships, partners, local press, associations.
  • Review velocity and rating tracked against the top three in your category.
  • Monthly report: calls, direction requests, website clicks from the profile, map positions across the area.
  • Suspension-proofing: one owner account, controlled edits, an evidence folder ready.
What it costs

Fixed monthly scope in writing after a free look at your profile, with the hours behind it. For context, single-location local SEO runs $500 to $1,500 a month from a Western freelancer and considerably less from a senior India-based one; multi-location scales with the number of branches. You get my number before you commit.

How long it takes

Calls from the profile usually move within four to eight weeks of fixing the category and the review flow. Map pack positions in competitive city categories take three to six months of consistent work.

How we start

A free look at your site first. Then a fixed monthly scope in writing, with the hours behind it, and you talk to me every time. What this costs in the market, by country and provider, if you want the numbers first.

One real example

Dubai Housekeeping: from 4K to 10K visits, twice the demo leads, 784 reviews at 4.8 stars.

A cleaning company in one of the most competitive local markets there is. The work was the unglamorous kind: the profile rebuilt properly, a review system the team actually ran, one honest page per service, and local mentions earned over months. Result: #2 and #3 positions on Google for the searches that bring bookings, traffic up roughly 150%, and demo leads doubled.

Before you hire anyone for this

Questions to ask, including me.

The answers you should hear are in brackets. If you get something else, keep looking.

  1. What is my primary category, and why?A specific answer with a reason. If they have not looked at your profile before quoting, they are quoting a package, not you.
  2. How will reviews be collected?A repeatable process your team runs, with a direct link, at a fixed moment. Never "we have a review service".
  3. Will you create pages for every suburb? No. Real pages for real locations and services. Anything else is filtered by Google and can get you penalised.
  4. How will I see my map ranking?Grid tracking across the service area, plus calls and direction requests from the profile itself. A single "position 3" number from one location is not the truth.
  5. Who owns the Google Business Profile? You do, from your own account, whether you hire me or another local SEO consultant. Anyone else gets manager access that you can remove.
FAQ

Local SEO questions you might have.

How is local SEO different from regular SEO?

Regular SEO competes for rankings globally or nationally. Local SEO competes for rankings in the map pack and local organic results for people physically near your business, it relies heavily on Google Business Profile, citations and reviews rather than just backlinks and content.

How long until I see movement in the map pack?

GBP and citation fixes can show early movement in 4–6 weeks. Competitive map pack positions in dense markets, like Dubai Housekeeping's cleaning niche, typically take 3–6 months of consistent work.

Do you handle multi-location businesses?

Yes. Multi-location local SEO needs a Business Profile and a dedicated, unique location page for every branch, never one generic page trying to rank for all of them. Citation and NAP consistency also becomes more critical the more locations you add.

Can you help get more Google reviews?

Yes, a review generation system (making it easy for happy customers to leave a review, at the right moment) plus a consistent response strategy. Reviews are one of the strongest local ranking signals, and Dubai Housekeeping's 784 reviews at 4.8★ came directly from this kind of system.

Does local SEO replace the need for regular SEO?

No, they work together. Local SEO wins the map pack and "near me" searches; broader SEO builds the organic authority and content that supports it. Most local businesses need both. See the full SEO service →
