These are the terms on which I offer this website and my services. They are written in plain English on purpose. Using this site, requesting a free analysis, booking a consultation or hiring me means you accept them.

Who you are dealing with

Rakesh Kumar, an independent SEO consultant trading as a sole proprietor from India, working with clients internationally. “I”, “me” and “my” in these terms mean Rakesh Kumar. “You” means the person or business using this site or my services. Contact: email me.

1. Using this website

  • Everything on this site is general information based on my experience. It is not a guarantee of results for your business, and it is not legal, financial or professional advice for your specific situation.
  • The content, design and code of this site belong to me unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page and quote short extracts with attribution. You may not copy pages wholesale or present them as your own.
  • Links to other websites are provided for convenience. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
  • I try to keep the site accurate and available, but I do not promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

2. The free findability check and free analysis

  • The scorecard on the home page gives you an instant, automated indication based on your own answers. It is a starting point, not an audit.
  • If you request a free growth analysis, I review your site personally and reply by email with what I would fix first. It is free, it is brief, and it carries no obligation on either side.
  • I may decline to provide a free analysis, for example where the site is outside the work I do or the request looks automated.
  • Information you submit is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Paid consultations

  • What it is: the paid consultation, a one-off 60-minute video call at the advertised price, currently $40 USD for the session, in which we go through your site and your questions live. You receive a short written summary of what I would prioritise after the call. Introductory calls about hiring me for ongoing work are free and are not covered by this section.
  • Booking and payment: sessions are booked and paid through the platform linked from this site (for example Upwork), or by invoice if we agree that in writing. Payment is due before the session. The platform’s own terms also apply to payments made through it.
  • Rescheduling: you may reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the session. Inside 24 hours, the session may be treated as delivered.
  • If I cancel: I will offer a new time or a full refund, your choice.
  • No-shows: if you do not attend and did not reschedule, the fee is not refunded. If I am the one who does not attend, you get a full refund or a new time, your choice.
  • Nature of the advice: a consultation gives you my professional opinion based on what I can see in an hour. Implementing it, and the results of doing so, are your responsibility unless you engage me for ongoing work.

4. Ongoing services (SEO, local SEO, AI search, PPC, social)

  • Ongoing work is agreed in a written proposal or contract that sets out scope, price, timeline and what each of us provides. That document takes priority over these terms where they differ.
  • Unless the proposal says otherwise: work is billed monthly in advance; either of us can end the engagement with 30 days’ written notice; work already paid for is completed or refunded pro rata.
  • You give me the access I need (website, analytics, Search Console, advertising and Business Profile accounts) and you keep ownership of all of those accounts at all times.
  • Advertising spend (for PPC and paid social) is paid by you directly to the platform and is separate from my fees.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information about your business and products that I publish on your behalf.

5. No guarantee of rankings

Search engines and AI engines are run by other companies and change without notice. I do not and cannot guarantee any specific ranking, traffic level, AI citation or number of leads. Anyone who guarantees rankings is not being straight with you. What I do guarantee is the work described in the proposal, done properly, on time, and reported honestly.

6. Intellectual property

  • Content, pages, campaigns and reports created for you become yours once they are paid for.
  • My methods, templates, tools and know-how remain mine, and I may reuse them for other clients.
  • With your permission, and only with your permission, I may describe our work together as a case study or reference. You can withdraw that permission at any time by emailing me.

7. Confidentiality

Anything you share with me about your business that is not public stays between us, during the engagement and afterwards. The same applies in reverse.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, my total liability to you for anything arising from this site or my services is limited to the fees you paid me in the three months before the issue arose. I am not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data or lost business, or for changes made by search engines, advertising platforms or third-party tools. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of Chandigarh, India. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you additional protections that cannot be waived, those protections still apply to you.

10. Changes

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes do not affect a proposal or booking already agreed.
